
Get Out The Float: Seaside 2026
Get Out The Float can’t float without the help from our volunteers! Volunteers help out with making our convention a fun and welcoming place to be in scenic Seaside!
Perks for Volunteers, Dealers and Performers:
All Volunteers, Qualified Panelists and Performers get the following perks as applicable:
- Access to Hospitality Suite for a meal (+snacks) per day.
- Roady’s Ramen (Pork Belly/Chasu and Pumpkin vegetarian options available).
- 60-minute early entrance to the swimming pool as if you were a Patron, right after completion of the pool inflatable photoshoot.
- Staff Bounce evening of setup after other setup tasks are complete and bouncy castles are installed and operating.
- Once Staff Bounce begins, you may bring in your inflatables early to set up for use or display over the weekend, and deflate them later than normal participants until the morning when we pack out.
- Convention Memberships for Convention Staff get the best of the following:
- 2025 Staff get a minimum of Attending Membership for 2026 if they are not working; or Sponsor Membership if they are continuing to staff.
- 2026 Normal Staff get Attending Membership, Supervisors get Sponsor and Managers get Patron.
- 2026 Approximately of 1 shift/day during GOTF 2026 get Attending; 2 shifts/day get Sponsor and 3 shifts per day get Patron.
- Convention Memberships for DJs/Performers: New DJs/Performers start at Attending Membership, returning DJs get Sponsor Membership.
- Convention Memberships for Panelists: Panelists with at least 3 hours of approved total presentation time are given an Attending Membership.
- Any of the membership upgrades noted in this list also function as a discount if you purchase a higher-tier membership.

We seek friendly volunteers who are willing to help out and have a fun time. Help is needed February 10th-17th, 2026, for setup, during the program, break down, and pack out.
Staff are those who meet a 17-hour minimum commitment; volunteers are those who give some of their time but cannot otherwise meet the minimum commitment. A convention staff member is a volunteer.

Registering for GOTF as a Volunteer
If you are volunteering, you will also need to register to attend Get Out The Float. Please follow these special instructions when registering.
- Register for the con, but do not pay (left pane: Attendance > Register for GOTF).
- Apply as a volunteer (left pane: Application > Volunteering) (if you already had not done so).
- Helium Resources will assign you to one or more teams, or may reach out to you.
- A voucher will be applied to your account by the Membership Manager, or reach out to you if your current registration level is insufficient.
- Now you can pay your balance, if any.
