Get Out The Float: Seaside 2028

Get Out The Float can’t float without the help from our volunteers! Volunteers help out with making our convention a fun and welcoming place to be in scenic Seaside!

Perks for Volunteers

Our volunteers are given the following perks for helping make GOTF the best convention that it can be. 

  1. No-cost Standard membership for at least 12 hours of shift work during the convention. 
  2. No-cost Sponsor membership for at least 24 hours of shift work during the convention.
  3. Any membership voucher earned here functions as a discount if you choose to register for a higher-tier membership.
  4. These membership perks may be stacked with benefits in the Contributor agreement. 
  5. Use of the hospitality suite and meals when and where available. 

Perks for Staff

Our staff are given the following perks of helping make GOTF the best convention that it can be. Staff serve as specialists, leads and higher leadership at GOTF. The expected staff workload during the convention is about 8hrs/day.

  1. No-cost Sponsor membership for staff who are serving in Lead (or 2nd, 3rd) and Specialist positions. 
  2. No-cost Patron membership for those serving as a Manager, Director or Executive.
  3. Any membership voucher earned here functions as a discount if you choose to register for a higher-tier membership. 
  4. These membership perks stack with the Contributor CoC up to Patron, as our highest membership level available.
  5. Use of the hospitality suite and meals when and where available. 
  6. A planned Staff Room Block, offered at a flat rate at a nearby hotel (this block for Staff and Vendors only). 
  7. GOTF towel with your name on it. This way you always know where your towel is. Significant lead time is required – staff applications submitted after a cutoff date of December 31st, 2026, will be unable to get this item. Limit one custom towel per person.

We seek friendly volunteers who are willing to help out and have a fun time. Help is needed February 1st-8th, 2028, for setup, during the convention, break down, and pack out.

Get Out The Float 2027 Volunteers: Get Out The Float 2027 has been postponed to 2028. If you submitted a vendor application for GOTF 2027, your application will rollover to GOTF 2028. You do not need to submit another application for 2028.
